Fox Butterflies

I made these for my Gaia minishop for spring. Posted them since they lose some of the detail when shrunk for sig consumption. These took me longer than they should have, the coloring wasn't that difficult. Somehow they always still seem to look better before I scan them. Based on actual butterflies, I did a lot of browsing to decide on which- Blue Pansy, Monarch, White Admiral, and Tigerswallow. I think the tiger ended up being my favorite though I'm quite partial to Monarchs. A long while back I'd found a dead Monarch on the sidewalk and brought it home to do drawings of until the cat got it. For the curious, since they're not on DA: [link] [link]
Sketched and inked on paper, colored in Photoshop. Wish my inking was better, I don't much like doing it in Photoshop, but it always seems to look blotchy after scanned.
