Halloween from the Fox

As much as Halloween is my favorite holiday, I havn't really done that much art for it, aside from my little cosplay foxes.
I've actually been having trouble sitting down and drawing lately, I get figity and have been having trouble spending much time on finishing commissions. So I decided to use this picture to push myself into doing a real finished work with some kind of background in a day. I worked on it yesterday, and did some finishing touches today in better light.

The pumpkins I drew first, and then the witch-fox behind them. I did some indulgent things in the drawing, ie things I personally like to draw or think are cool- the little wing, the fox, the stars, the candle, the scarf and stockings, the swirly designs, the hat style. The hardest things were deciding the faces for the pumpkins and what I wanted to do with the legs, bad me didn't allow a lot of space to the right. I know its a little disproportionate, but its the style I've been doing lately, with the larger hands and head and smaller body. I don't know why but I didn't feel like making the feet big and foxy. I would have included a tail, but I didn't see a good place to fit it in without seeming crowded.

Took me about 2-3 hours of actual working time, longer in real time with some breaks. I'm really pretty happy with how it turned out, though I have trouble pushing myself to go really dark with pencils.
